Jenny's further feedback on our new website

Site Sections

I really like the way it moves from the HOME page menu bar on left to Policy, Evaluation etc and the first page of explanation. MUCH better than going directly to genderIT.org etc.

Would it not be better with Policy and Advocacy to put genderIT.org next to APC WNSP policy advocacy? The way it is now people may not get to APC WNSP policy advocacy but go directly to genderIT.org and not see APC WNSP policy advocacy.

What has happened to our Research/Publications? Not sure if we still need this as it is subsumed under other sections. Kind of like a resources section?

Menus

The APC WNSP is too close to Members and I saw it running together rather than being 2 separate sectiosn which it should be.

Lay out

On the top left hand side the A of APC WNSP is slightly off the page.

Content

I like the use of pictures and logos and we should use lots - it really makes the reading easier and the page looks friendlier.

When I click on French, the only French thing I get is "Rechercher". Is this because we don't have French content?

Spanish is GREAT to see it entirely in Spanish - what about the Networking for Empowerment and Social Change? Will that be in Spanish? Assume so when design is done?

QUESTION - When we go to Spanish, is that the PARM LAC site? Or Spanish content of WNSP? Does it matter?

WHen I click on the tags (TAXONOMIES?) under the heading of an article it takes me to what? A first time user could find this confusing.

Clicking on Groups takes me to a Groups directory - confusing.

I like the listing on the right of What's New (obviously WNSP) and REcent News and then APC News. very good and clear.

APC WNSP - I really like the HIGHLIGHTS section - we can make a lot out of that if we keep it updated.

DO we need to repeat the menu bar on the right when it is already on the left in this section? i.e. APC WNSP Action areas repeats what is already on the left menu bar.

When I click to add a comment (I was practicing commenting and clicked on the BAWO
article) my name and location and tel and fax was already in the comment box. Why?

I click on preview comment and then what do I do??? Oh - OK now I see - but it was not intuitive.

Adding content
Once I have added content, where will it be seen?....is it linked to my blog or does it go to a communal space?

When I tried to configure my website it said "Access denied".

THAT's it for today - will try and do more tomorrow.

IT IS LOOKING FABULOUS ERIKA AND SARAH AND EZ!!! I AM VERY EXCITED>
