Converting DVD (vob) format to web streaming flash format (swf)
most dvd files are in .vob format, some i think are already in mp4
so if you have a .vob file that you want to stream in web i found the following freeware tools.
the one i found out is a two step process (i'm sure there is a short-cut... i tried ffmpeg for linux but i had too many old headers that it didn't work).
anyways, here are the tools... they are very easy to install
1. vob to mp4 format - mp4 is also ipod video format

Harambee workshop in Kampala
The closing workshop of the knowledge sharing Harambee project took place in Kampala in January. We shared about digital storytelling and hopefully can find a way forward for more Harambee work. It's been the Harambee project that has allowed us to do all the member interviews and surveys in AAW. Harambee benefitted other organisations in different areas, all focussed on deepening network collaboration using ICTs.
